Guns, Fast Cars and Planes

Lincoln is super excited to be in charge of the gun.

We decided that it was probably not a good idea to let Lincoln ride. He has no fear and would just jump out of the plane if he wanted. Talan cried the whole ride and every time he came around he would yell at Jason and I "LET ME OFF"!

After the scary air plane ride we decided to try out the tamer Merry go round. I had to bribe him to go on it. He was afraid we were going to send him on another scary ride.

After the Merry-Go-Round Talan was a little brave and went on the pirate ship with me.

Talan was so excited to play laser tag.

He was excited when he was finished. He told me that him and dad won and that he got 900 people.

While the big boys were playing Laser Tag Lincoln was content climbing up and down the stairs. Finally he needed to stop for a rest.

This fall I found a great deal on the Pass of all Passes so we bought one for everyone in the family. Today was such a beautiful day we decided to go up to Trafalga and play around. We had so much fun riding on all the rides. Lincoln was so brave he wanted to go on all the rides. Linx is 2 going on 7. Talan had fun on everything but the airplanes. I was actually surprised that he enjoyed all the other rides and loved playing Laser Tag with Dad. I hate that winter is coming. It is always so depressing being stuck in the house especially when my kids love being outdoors. Today was awesome and I love getting to hang out with our little family.

Going to space!

Talan's preschool class went on a field trip to the BYU Planetarium. Of course all of the parking spaces were full in the visitors lot. So Talan and I had to walk all the way across campus to the planetarium. They have some hands on science experiments that the kids can do. This one you move one of the rods and then all the rods will all start moving in the same direction.

 Talan had fun doing this experiment. You could play music on this pipes by hitting them with the palm of your hand.

This was Talan's favorite experiment. You would hit the back of the Vortex Cannon and it would blow air on the people below. He also really like the tornado experiment.

 After the kids had explored the experiments downstairs we found an empty hall and had a picnic. Mrs Jackie brought some crackers and cheese for the class. They had a fun time having an indoor picnic. Some of the college students gave us a funny look as they walked by. They were just jealous that they don't get snack time.

 After our snacks we went up to watch a show in the planetarium. We learned a lot about the stars and planets. I was surprised at how much the kids knew about the planet and stars already. Most of them could guess which planet his was showing us before he told them.

Talan and I had a great time learning about space. I love watching him learn. Talan has enjoyed learning about space and the stars. He is always asking to take his telescope outside to try and find constellations. I hope that he will always enjoy learning.

The Nebo Loop

Since it was General Conference Sunday we decide to go for a ride through the Nebo Loop to see the leaves. Grandma, Grandpa, Jenny, Gary and Shirley came on long with us.

The first stop was the Grotto. The boys love to hike up to it and throw rock in the water. The canyon was so busy. I am sure everyone wanted to see the beautiful leaves.

The leaves were amazing, the weather perfect and it smelled of fall.

Lincoln was so tired that Jason had to carry him while we hiked to the Devil's Kitchen.

On the way home we got a flat tire. Lucky for us we were less than 2 miles from home. Jason and Talan put the spare on and we made it home.

Talan had a great time helping dad with the tire. He was covered in grease/dirt.

I wish this photo was better. This is the view from my back porch. I love my view of Maple Mountain especially during the fall. I hope that no one ever builds behind us.

Play Dough

Talan had been behaving really well, so I told him that for a treat we would make some play dough. He was so excited and couldn't wait to get started. We gathered all the ingredients and found a recipe.

Of course Lincoln didn't want to miss out on the fun. We carefully measured the flour, salt, cream of tarted, water and oil.

Once it was all mixed together we had to heat it up and stir it until it was Play dough consistency.

We had a little accident but the boys were willing to help clean the mess up. What good little helpers.

Once the dough was cooked it was time to add the coloring. We added a few drops of color and then we kneaded it until it was the color we wanted it.

Once the dough was done Talan asked me when we were going to eat it. I looked at him funny and said we aren't going to eat it. He responded with "I thought you said this was my treat?" I told him it was his treat for being so good. He said " I thought we were making Play dough ice cream, because play dough is not a treat."

 Note to self: Treat is something you can eat!!

This was Talan's second year playing Soccer and with each game he is improving.The first few games he would just orbit around the kids, but as the season went on he would get in the group and try and kick the ball. When ever the coach asked who wanted to go in Talan would always beg to go on the field. I love his determination as he strives to be a better soccer player. This year the team decided to name their team the Tigers. They ended up not having any girls on their team. One of the kids on his team is also in his preschool class. I asked Talan what his name was and he told me Golbie. I questioned him and asked him if he was sure that is was Golbie not Kolbie. He said no mom it is Golbie. They next day when I dropped him off at preschool I saw the little boy getting dropped off at preschool as his mom was leaving she said Bye Jake. JAKE!!!! not even close to Golbie. Now he has me wondering what the little girls name is that he refers to as Bebe. Talan had a great time playing soccer and is excited to play it again next year. Way to go Talan.
