This was one crazy weekend. It started off at Elliette's Airplane 3rd Birthday Party. It was so cute all decorated in pinks and purples.

Ashley made these cute little airplane food containers for us to eat at the party. It was filled with sandwiches, water, pretzels and peanuts. It was such a fun way to have dinner.

After dinner it was time to play toss the rings on the castle.
All of the kids with their prize bags. They were loaded with silly string and airplanes.
We had a silly string fight. Lincoln was ready to attack.

This is the cute airline ticket we received. Our captain Ellie was great and we hope to fly with Ellie Airlines again.
The next day we headed down to Payson to the Scottish festival. We watched the river dancers.
Lincoln enjoyed watching the dancers. He was all smiles the whole time.
The boys watching the entertainment. It was fun to walk around and visit all the booths. They had all kinds of stuff like different plaids, knifes and this awesome root beer in old fashion bottles.
We watched them do Scottish games such as rock throwing and log throwing. Sorry I don't know the real names for the games.
I love the bagpipes. This girl showed us how it worked and played a little song for us.
They had a train ride and Talan begged to ride on it. It was the fasted train ever. The guy driving must be related to Dale Earnhardt.

There were groups of bagpipers playing all around the park.
After a short visit to the Scottish Festival we went down to the pool for the Torgeson Family Reunion. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and chatting with different family members.
Everyone having KFC for lunch. The boys had fun playing on the playground and begging to go to the pool.
I knew once the boys saw the pool they would want to go swimming so luckily I packed our swimsuits. After the reunion we hit the pool for a few hours. Both of my boys love the water. I love to take them to the pool because afterward they both take a nice long nap and I can have a few minutes of peace and quiet.
After swimming we were going to camp out in the backyard. We made tinfoil dinners to make it feel more like a real camping trip.
Of course the boys were wrestling so I thought if they would help me they would calm down a bit.
Talan was in charge of seasoning the vegetables.
He had a lot of shaking to do.
He has always been a good helper.
Talan helped put all the food in the tinfoil .
He also wrote every ones name on their dinner.
What was Lincoln doing during all of this? He was literally hang from the chandler.
While dinner was cooking the boys went out in the backyard and set up the tent.
I love that we were 10 feet from our garage and Jason gave Talan this log to hammer in the stakes with.
I don't know if Talan and Lincoln were much help.

Talan thought they were good and
so did Lincoln. That is a rare occurrence at our house. The boys are picky eaters so I feel like I have to make a couple of different dinners every night. So this was a success.

Another nice benefit of sleeping in the backyard is that we could vacuum all the dirt out of the tent.Yay!!!

Another camping tradition we have is Peach Cobblers. Usually I am cooking it in a dutch oven but tonight I just used the oven. Another plus to backyard camping.
Talan was so put out that he had to eat his Peach Cobbler. He just wanted to go in the tent and watch a movie. But once he tried it he was glad he did.

We brought out the dvd player and the boys watched Barney goes to the zoo until they fell asleep.
It didn't take long for the boys to fall asleep. They were exhausted from such a busy day.
Dakota loved that we slept in the backyard with her.
The next day we went to the Spanish Fork Splash Pad with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen.

After a good run through the Splash Pad, the boys wanted to go and play on the playground.

Talan and Brayden had fun playing. I love this park, it has the best equipment.
Lincoln loves to go down the slide. He could spend a whole day sliding down and climbing back up.

We had a busy, but fun weekend and I would not give it up for anything. I love being on the go and creating what I hope is wonderful memories with my darling boys. I hope that we will always have a good relationship and be a close family.
