Its Halloween Party Time

The boys and I ready for the Ward Carnival.
Talan won some vampire teeth playing ghost bowling.
Linx spent most of the night trying to get his puppy ears off.
Linx favorite game was the cake walk. He was so entertained walking around the circle stepping on all the numbers.
Talan hoping to catch a big fish at the fish pond.
The boys waiting for the party guest to arrive.
Me with my favorite Cowboy and Puppy.
I was lucky enough to get a picture with all the kids in it. This is a real miracle.
The Bogards.
The Bills
The Christensens
Two witches, One fairy
The kids listening to the book "The Little old lady who was not afraid on anything" This is one of Talan's and Linx's favorite Halloween books. Elle didn't like it much, a little too scary for her.
Dizzy Mummy. This was one of our Minute to Win It games. Which ever family won got to pick a spooktakular prize.
A doughnut eating contest. I think Crew won when he finally pulled the doughnut off the string and walked away enjoying his doughnut.
The Bogards getting ready to play "Elephant Nose".
Elephant Nose turned out to be everyones favorite game of the night.
Who dosen't love a game that involves putting a nylon on your head.
Talan getting a little wild and crazy while playing Elephant Nose.
This week has been busy with Halloween Parties. At the begining of the week we had the annual ward carnival. The boys had fun doing the cake walk, fishing in the pond, making ghost and having their faces painted. It was fun to see all of the neighbors dressing up in their Halloween costumes. It was a fun evening of games and visiting.
On Thursday night I hosted our 1st annual Halloween Party. We had tons of yummy food. After everyone was full from soup, bread bowls, dips and cupcakes we decided to play Minute to Win It. It was so fun to see the kids laughing and having a good time. Everyones favorite games was Elephant nose. Hopefully the kids will want to continue to have a Halloween Party every year. It was so fun to see everyone dressed up and laughing at each other while we played the games. Nothing beats a night of yummy food, friends and fun.

Fall Fun with Friends

Trying to come up with another way to paint my pumpkin.
Everyone creating some amazingly cute pumpkins that will be the talk of the neighborhood.
Everyone was having a fun time eating, painting and the kids playing.
The finished Pumpkins.
I think I might have a pumpkin problem, they are everywhere.
At the Cheesecake Factory with the girls.
The whole gang.
Me with one of my best-est friends.
Fall is such a fun time with my group of friends. For the last couple of years we have had a pumpkin painting party. Everyone meets at Ashley's to create some amazing pumpkins. Each year they have become cuter and more creative. We also enjoyed yummy food and good gossip. We also always met for lunch and a trip over to Gardner Village to the Witchfest. What could be funner than catching up with your high school pals and shopping. Fall is getting to be so fun it may eventually become my favorite season.

Witchfest 2011

Saturday was such a beautiful day we decided to take the boys to see the witches at Gardner Village. When Lincoln looked up and saw the witch riding the bike he started running the other direction. For some reason this was the only witch he was afraid of.
Lincoln hoping that it was full of milk.
Talan waiting in line for a "Ride to a Witch" and Lincoln mischievously deciding how he is going take that Jazzy for a ride.
The tickets for "Ride to the Witches" was a cock-roach. Eweeee!
Talan was brave enough to hold his cock-roach.
Everyone was taking pictures so Lincoln kept saying "Cheese" to everyone.
Lincoln having fun throwing straw at his dad.
It was almost our turn to take the hay wagon out to the Witches Village.
This witch is named Disco Diana. She was Talan's favorite witch. She taught all the kids a dance.

Talan also got to help a witch make her brew.
He picked out a stone to add to the brew.
Talan made a new witch friend.
Waiting to have a witch hair cut.

Surprisingly Talan was not scared of the witches
Since Talan got to go see the witches, Linx got to ride on the pony.
Soon as he was on, he patted the horse and said go!
Giddy Up Horse!
Talan and I taking a little break.
The boys having a fun time swinging then bailing off the swing. Only boys would have so much fun doing this.
Before we left we stopped to get a scary pumpkin painted on Talan's check.

This is the first time that I have taken the boys to Witchfest at Gardner Village. We had such a great afternoon and I know both of the boys really enjoyed it. I think that this has just become a new Halloween tradition.

Here Fishy, Fishy

Talan taking a peek at the beautiful coral.
Lincoln watching the jelly fish.
The large jelly fish were Talan's favorite. They had them in a dark room and they would change the color of the lights so it looked like the jelly fish were changing colors.
Lincoln having a look and the giant Octopus.
Touching the Sting Rays was Lincoln's favorite part of the aquarium. He would have gotten in and swam with them if we had allowed it.
Talan on the other hand hated the Sting Rays. After a ton of bribing we finally convinced him to touch one. The Sting Ray liked Talan so much it came all the way out of the water and just about hit him in the face. Needless to say Talan was hysterical. Jason even admitted that it caught him off guard to.
Talan crying and running away from the  Sting Rays.
He decided the safest place was on his dad's shoulders.
Jason trying to row his way back to Mexico for a little vacation.
Lincoln and Jason looking at the largest snake I have ever seen.
Lincoln loved to watch the sea turtle and the turtle even  liked him. The turtle kept swimming right by Lincoln.
The boys had fun hearing what sounds all the different frogs make. I am sure everyone around us was glad when we moved on to the next exhibit.

Talan is the same size as an adult penguin.
They have this great little play area and Lincoln had fun crawling through the caves and climbing on the rocks.
Talan and I under the sea.

This year we also bought passes to the Living Planet Aquarium so while we were in the area we decided to stop in. Every time we go to the aquarium it gets biggerr and better. This is the first time we saw the penguins exhibit and we were lucky enough to be there during feeding time. The boys liked that there were so many hands on exhibits and they got to splash in the water. We had a great afternoon, I just wish that the aquarium was a little bit closer to home.
