Well now that Thanksgiving is over it is time to start getting ready for Christmas. Talan was so excited to put up his tree in his room.
Jason and Talan picking out what decorations should be put on the tree. I let the boys decorate their trees however they want them. No input from mom.
Talan's finished tree. It turned out so good.
We haven't had Christmas lights on our house for years. But now that Jason is out of school I was not letting him get out of putting them up. Talan was excited to help his dad string the lights.
After all the lights were up we bundled up and got ready to go to the Spanish Fork Light parade.
On our way to the parade we noticed Mrs Peeps hanging from our tree. It appears that Mrs Peeps must have parachuted out of Santa's sleigh and got stuck in our tree.
It is always so exciting when Mrs Peeps arrives at our house.
Talan still doesn't exactly like Mrs Peeps. He is still a little fearful of her. This is as close as he would get to her and every night he tells us to make sure that his door is shut tight.
Linx loves Mrs Peeps. He wanted to give her a piggy back ride.
Talan didn't want Mrs Peeps to lose any magic so Jason had to use tongs to get her in the house.
After an exciting day we finally made it to the Light Parade. Linx was so tired that he took a little nap while waiting for it to start.
All bundled up but still having fun.
Lincoln would read us all the flyers that were passed out during the parade.
Just the boys.
The whole gang! It was cold but we still had fun. Every year the Spanish Fork Light parade means that Christmas is coming. I love this time of year and love to spend it with my friends and loved ones.
