Springville Crossing

For Labor Day weekend we went camping at our traditional camping spot. It rained Friday and Saturday but was nice Sunday and Monday. Addy and I didn't let a little rain stop us from trying to catch a fish.
Me and my fishing partner.
During one of the down pours Jess pulled out the finger paints and rolled paper. The kids had a great time painting on the giant paper.
Even a little rain can't keep us from having a good time.
Look at me Mom!
Messy Little Fingers.
Everyone had a great time painting.
Jason put this board over a giant puddle by our trailer but Linx thought it made a great trampoline.
Talan showing us his super strength.
The clouds lifted and we took an atv ride up to the look out.
Linx is a little rock climber.
Crew was our camping fashionista. I loved the purple fairy helmet with the Spiderman Moon boots.
Lincoln made it to the top.
Riding through the mud and the muck.
The kids getting their camping cones ready to roast.
Talan ready and waiting to go on another ride.
Linx you crack me up. You have such a fun personality.
Me and my riding buddy. Notice the fishing pole strapped on the front because you never know when you might have to stop and catch some fish.
We had to stop by the haunted house on our way to the tub. The ghost looks an awful lot like Jason.

The old Haunted House up Diamond Fork.
One of the atvs broke down, so we had to ride with 4 people on one atv. How redneck can we get.Lol
Every year we ride up to the tub. We even take the kids out on the old crumbling bridge. This definitely will not get us the parents of the year award.  My grandma said her dad used to take her to the tub and she absolutely hated going out on the bridge.

The kids playing in the fields at Strawberry Ridge. It is so fun to be at the top of the mountains and look out over Strawberry Reservoir.
Lincoln likes to fish too. As soon as he wakes up he asks where his fishing pole is.

A bunch of the kids playing at camp.
We usually have quite a few visitors come visit while we are camping. What can we say, we are so fun to hang out with I guess.
Talan spent a whole afternoon carving this stick like grandpa Jones.
The camping trip ended and the clean up began. Both of the boys cleaning their toys. We always have a fun time camping with the Bills family. This year we had a lot of visitors come up and it was so fun to just hang out with everyone at camp.

Demolition Derby

Last year just the adults went to the Demolition Derby in Spanish Fork, but after Talan heard about it he begged to go with us this year. Talan showing off his ticket, he was so excited.
Talan and Jason waiting for the car crashing to begin.
It was a good Derby, some cars up-side-down and a couple even caught on fire. Luckily no one was hurt.
The Demolition Derby Girls.
It was perfect weather this year and the kids loved the Derby. Addy was really sad when her favorite pink car got smashed so quickly.
The whole gang, these guys can make anything more fun. They are the best friends around.

After the Grand Event we walked down to get a closer look at the wreckage. We have had so much fun at the Derby that I am sure we will be getting tickets every year.

Boating Fun

The Bogards invited us out on their new toy and we had so much fun boating around Utah Lake. Talan gave it a thumbs up.
I was a little worried that Lincoln wouldn't like boating but I was wrong he loved it.
Me and the Hubby a little wind blown but having fun.
Lincoln stealing a drink of my Pepsi.
Jeremy took Jason for a crazy ride on the tube, a couple of times he caught a little air.
Talan and I were amazed that Jason managed to stay on the whole time.
I must have gotten nominated as Boat Nanny. Good thing I adore all of these kiddos.
I am not sure why Ash and I decided to got out on the tube after Jason's adventure but it was a blast.
Most of the kids floating on the tube, Lincoln was too busy pretending to drive the boat.
We are so thankful that we have such fun friends who are willing to share all of their fun toys with us. Talan is still talking about how Ashley let him drive the boat. He did a great job even if mid way though the ride back to the marina he made a huge circle in the lake. We are excited for many more fun boating trips with the Bogards.

Sage Creek School Carnival

Talan's school's PTA decided to hold a carnival as its fundraiser this year. They had a bunch of bounce houses, games and food. Lincoln loved the giant slide. He would slide down it and get right back in line to go down again.
Talan had fun going through the blow up obstacle course,
but the giant slide was his favorite.
We had to make sure that we got our faces painted.
 Linx playing some carnival games.
Of course the little boys picked out Princess Wands as their prizes.
Talan won a Lip Whistle and some pink Vampire Teeth.
The boys had so much fun at the carnival with their friends. It was a fun filled afternoon and we hope it was a successful fundraiser and that the PTA will do it in years to come.

Camping Cousins

We went on a quick camping trip with the Christensen's. Brayden came and stayed with grandma and grandpa Christensen. At the Diamond Fork Campground they have this nature trail with all these fun exhibits for the kids. This was the Kid sized Beaver Dam.
All Lincoln wanted to do was fish.
Trying to catch the big one.
Grandma Christensen and Shirley are always sewing when they are camping so the boys wanted to give it a try.
Jason and Talan working on the sewing project.
Grandpa Christensen teaching Brayden how to sew.
The boys waiting at the trail head of the Red Cliffs.
Everyone had a great time climbing on the red rocks.
The trail was steep in some spots so Talan slide down.
All of us taking a much needed rest.
Me climbing up in the red rocks. I wasn't going in any farther due to the huge spider web behind me.
Lincoln wanted to have a turn climbing up the rocks.
The boys in the cave.
Look at those huge muscles!

Lincoln and grandpa relaxing for a moment.
Jason climbing up the rocks.

The boys wanted to ride in the back of the truck with the dog, but grandpa said "No".
Shirley working on her sewing.
2 Hot Dogs, 1 Bun.
We had a great time playing Spoons.
We decided to make Tin Foil Dinners. They turned out so good and everyone enjoyed them, especially Talan.
Mmmmm Good.
Talan and Brayden sitting around the fire playing games on dad's phone. Kids these days.
We had a fun camping trip filled with hiking, games and roasting marshmallow. The boys had a great time camping with cousin Brayden.
