We had a great time in Richfield this year. I had found this great hike on Pinterest and it was close to Richfield so we decided to try it. At the end of the hike is a waterfall.
We loaded up everyone and started of to Marysville which is about 45 minutes away from Richfield. When we arrived it was raining but the clouds seemed to be breaking apart so we headed out.
Along the trail we found this cool old cabin and had to stop for a few photos.
After a steep hike we finally made it to Bullion Falls.
The Christensen gang.
Bullion Falls.
Once we reached the falls the clouds turned black and the rain began to fall and it fell hard. Talan and Dad still gave the hike a thumbs up.
Grandpa and Grandma Christensen.
Soaking Wet but Loving It.
We were soaked to the bone, so Linx had to ride home in just a diaper.
The sign at the start of the trail said Bullion Falls 1 mile and about 1 mile up we ran into another sign that said Bullion Falls 1 mile. So I don't know how far of a hike it is but it took us about 1 hour to hike up.
It rained so hard water was pouring off the bridge.
Soaking wet but a memory we will never forget.
On our way home we stopped at Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort to buy some snacks.
Talan showing off his best Grizzly Bear impression
Of course Lincoln wanted a turn too.
Big Rock Candy Mountain.
My Boys.
A coon skin cap for Talan.
A Coal Miners Hat for Lincoln.
Just outside of Marysville they had this field full of train cars so of course we had to stop and take a look.
Talan the train lover.
All of the train car were so colorful and cute. I would love to spend a day out here and take some fun family photos.
At the campground they had this path of pavers but to Lincoln it was a train track.
Camping at the Richfield KOA.
The boys like to go over to the KOA general store where they can usually talk grandma and grandpa Christensen into a new toy or a treat.
Talan found a treasure, bird feathers.
We spent one afternoon playing miniature golf at the KOA. They boys had a great time.
Grandpa C and Talan practicing their putting skills.
Red Light, Green Light.
Lincoln has some great golfing form. Lol
After a fun game of golf it was time to cool off and relax in the pool.
The pool is the best part of staying at the KOA.
Catching some air.
1.2.3. Jump. Making some new friends at the pool.
Talan and Bailey relaxing in the pool.
Dads are the best.
No fear here.
Time for a little snack and watching some Kipper.
Little snack.
Nap time for the boys.
Jason getting some baby loves.
Thomas and Friends even come on vacation with us.
Lincoln loved to climb up on this rock and pretend to be a monkey.
Every year we stop at the Ace Hardware store, I love this place they have such random things all under one roof.
Down East Clothing, a fishing boat or new dinner plates. Don't worry they have it all.
Loving the pink BB Gun.
Taking the bikes for a spin around the campground.
Jason taking Lincoln for a ride.
Taking the 4-wheeler for a spin on the Piaute Trail.
Jason and Linx.
For some reason every time we take Lincoln for a ride he falls asleep.
Bailey and Lincoln waiting for the big family dinner.
Dinner time! Tons of good food.
Camping Cones for Deseret.
The boys got these fun rockets that shoot way up in the sky. We had a great time shooting them and running to find them.
Hanging out around the campfire.
How was the juice, Talan?
Every year we go to the parade in Monroe, I love the small town celebrations. Who looks up to their dad?
Having a little Bug Juice while we are waiting.
All the kids have their candy bags ready.
Of course it started to rain, lucky for us it was the end of the parade. Don't you love the shorts with hiking boots look. Lincoln insisted that he wore his boots.
Anyone want some candy. It was literally raining candy.
Our trailer window broke so every 30 minutes or so we had to stop and put new duck tape on it. How redneck can we get. Lol
Every year we go down with the Christensen and stay at the KOA in Richfield. My kids love the pool, campfires at night and riding atvs. We are lucky to have such a fun group of relatives who will go on crazy hiking adventures with me. I am sure I will hear about the Bullion Falls hike for along time to come. I don't know what to plan for next year that will top our hike in a thunderstorm.
