The boys getting ready to go to the Payson Pool.
Lincoln playing in the water.
Talan going down the water slide.
Lincoln loves to pretend he is driving a car. If there is a steering wheel Lincoln will spend his time playing with it.
Just relaxing and having a drink while they are cleaning the pool.
The boys giving the thumbs up.
I love when the jets fly over the Stadium of Fire. So we sat out front of our house waiting for them to fly over. The f-16 fly over is one of my favorite things about the 4th of July.
We waited and waited.
and waited. Finally we decided to leave because we were meeting everyone in Provo to watch the fireworks. As we were driving over the jets flew over. I love seeing the jets and hearing the roar of their engines.
Our big group watching the fireworks. We had tons and food and enjoyed chatting with each other.
Jason and Lincoln having a glow stick sword fight.
Waiting for the fireworks.
What a nice big brother to help Lincoln put on his glow necklaces.
Lincoln loved the fireworks. He keep pointing at them and saying "Look"
Talan had been so excited to watch the fireworks all day. But at some point during the fireworks Talan was just too tired and he feel asleep.
Sunday we decided to take a drive up Payson Canyon and stop and visit Grandma and Grandpa Jones who were up camping at Ponderosa.
On our way up we stopped to hike up the Grotto Waterfall.
Talan got to cross allot of logs that were going over the river. At first he was a little nervous, but by the end of the hike we was a pro log crosser.
Lincoln was lucky enough to get a lift up the trail.
Talan at the Grotto. Talan liked the waterfall so much that he asked if we could come back tomorrow.
The boys having a good time throwing rocks into the water.
The waterfall was so pretty. I didn't find out until last year that there was even a waterfall up Payson Canyon.
Talan and I showing off our river crossing skills.
Such a cute Totem Pole.
After visiting Grandma and Grandpa we came home and had our own campfire in the backyard.
We roasted a few marshmallows and made a few smores.
Lincoln had a great time playing with the firewood and Dakota's water bowl.
I found a recipe I wanted to try out. You take a banana and cut them in half and fill them with things like chocolate, marshmallow, peanut butter then you wrap them up and throw them in the fire. Talan and I wanted to try them out, but all of our bananas were bad when we cut into them. So we had to stick to Smores. Next time we are trying the bananas.
Lincoln didn't care if the bananas were bad. He was too busy dancing on the table.
We lit a few Sparklers.
Chased the dog around the yard.
We stuffed ourselves with goodies and over all just had a good time hanging out with each other.
The weather was so nice that Jason and I put the kids to bed and stayed out on the deck until midnight just talking.
Our backyard campfire was a success. Next time Talan wants to get the tent out and spend the night in the backyard.
I love that the boy scouts in our neighborhood put out flags in front of everyones houses for the hoildays. I love driving down the street and having it lined with flags.
On the 4th we went to Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's to have a BBQ. We also did a few snaps on the drive way.
Lincoln wishing he was old enough to go down and throw a few snaps.
Overall we had a great 4th of July weekend. We were always on the go, but we all loved every minute of it.
