Random

My cute Talan hanging out watching I-Carly in our bedroom in his favorite chair.
One Saturday we took the boys to Music and Movement at the library. They had a good time playing with the scarves and learning rhythm.
Lincoln even had a great time playing with the scarves.
Talan thinks that his little brother makes a great pillow.
Lincoln falls asleep in the most random of places. Yes, he is really asleep in that position.
Lincoln driving the fastest race car around. Go Lighting McQueen.
One day Mater was visiting a Christmas tree lot so of course we had to stop and see him.
They boys thought that it was awesome to see Mater, but they were sad when we went by again and he was gone.
One morning we got up and went in to check on Lincoln and he was missing. We started frantically searching the house for him and after a few minutes we found him sound asleep under the desk.
Grandpa Christensen made these steps for Lincoln and he just loves to stand on them and wash his hands by himself.
If Lincoln ever goes missing at Grandma Christensen's the first place to look is Jenny's bed. Linx loves to  snuggle in her pillows.
Linx asleep in another crazy place.
Lincoln's first big boy bike. It is Thomas the Train of course.

Just trying on some glasses at Mom's work.
For some reason Linx has always liked goggles and if he finds a pair he will wear them around the house all day.
Lincoln saw this bike at Sam's and had to give it a try.
Talan's first visit to In-N-Out. He was 5 before his first visit, such a deprived childhood I know.
One of Lincoln's favorite activities is to climb up in the kitchen sink and wash his trains. We have the cleanest trains around.
Talan showing off his Dr Pepper 10 that he won by spinning the K-Bull 93 wheel of winning. He was so excited but I was even more excited. I love Dr Pepper 10!
Lincoln and Dakota having a drink break together.
Talan trying on a few of this years latest style of hats.
You would think that we were going on a 5 hour road trip instead of just going to pick up Talan from preschool.
Lincoln was so sleepy he couldn't even finish his lunch.

We had a fun night at the Tavernacle with Joe and Jess. It was a great night with good food and fun piano playing.
Joe and Jess before the show.
Some mornings the boys get up early and do yoga with me.
Andrea, Ashley and I at the State Street Grill where they filmed 20/20 "What would you Do?"
Jason holding the "What would you do?" mug.
The boys enjoying some sunshine this spring. The boys are not only brothers but great friends too.
Another one of the random places that Lincoln has chosen to fall asleep.
The boys playing at the purple park.
This spring the neighborhood kids had fun digging giant holes in the field. Talan got to share his fort with Mason and Gravy (Brady).
Lincoln didn't want to ride on the train at the mall, instead he wanted to drive the pink bus.
This is how Linx rolls on the way to the park. Oh the life.
Linx asleep again,
Talan is a one man band.
Lincoln gathering up all his trains to take in the car. He always has to take a toy when we go somewhere.
The neighborhood kids having fun in the sand box at our house.
Lincoln's first fat lip. He fell off the chair while playing trains at the kitchen table and split his lip open. Poor baby.

Gone Fishing

Since Jason has been home more, we decided to get up early and go to the Spanish Fork Res. to try and catch some fish.
This was Linx's first fishing trip and he loved walking around the lake with his coffee mug filled with juice.
It was so windy when we first got to the lake that Talan just wanted to sit and eat his McDonalds. Dang that Spanish Fork wind.
Jason and Lincoln.
Talan picked out his lucky hook

We caught two fish. Jason caught one and Talan caught one.
Lincoln taking a look at the fish that dad caught.
Lincoln had a great time running up the hill, gathering rocks then running down to throw them in the water.
Your can guess how this story ended.
Lincoln fell in the lake. However, I was smart enough to pack a spare outfit, so we changed and kept on fishing. We had a great morning at the lake. We enjoyed McDonalds while sitting on the beach, catching some fish and then we played on the playground. It was a good time and everyone enjoyed themselves.

UVU Grad 2012

We are so lucky to have a UVU grad in our house this year. Talan was so excited for his dad to graduate that he wanted to have a surprise party for him. So we found a huge sugar cookie and got some balloons to surprise Jason when he got home from work.
I think that Talan is so proud of his dad. It has been a long 5+ years to get to this point and the kids are so excited to have their dad around more. It will be so different to see him for more that an hour or two at night.
Getting ready to go to Jason's graduation. It was at 8:30 in the morning so we had to get the kids up bright and early.
Jason and I. We are so lucky that Talan is a good photographer for a 5 year old.
All of us just waiting for the graduation to start. Linx had a great time climbing under everyone's chair.
I packed a bag full of electronic and food to keep the boys quite during the ceremony.
The Woodbury School of Business class of 2012 graduates.
My Favorite Grad!
Family Photos after the ceremony. I wish I could have taken more but it was so cold.
We are so lucky to have such a supportive family that helped us make it through all of this schooling.
My cute little family at UVU graduation.
I saw this sign while driving and had to stop to get a few photos.
It was exactly 10 years ago that I graduated from UVU with my bachelors degree. We now have 2 college graduates in the family. GO UVU!!
It has been a long hard few years getting Jason through school, but it will be so worth it. There were many night I wished that he could come home and help me with the kids. I am so proud of him for finishing school, it took a lot of determination and discipline to be a student, father, husband and support a family all at once. There were many nights he got up to go to work and had slept less than 5 hours. I will never know how he was able to do it. We are so proud of your accomplishment Jason and we love you tons.
