Take me out to the ball game.

Talan and I getting ready to leave to watch the Pro Air Softball game.

Lincoln even likes to go to dad's games.
The games are always fun, we love meeting up with our friends the Bogards and the Bills.
Jess and Crew
Lincoln was having fun playing Peek-A-Boo in his stroller.
Lincoln having his healthy snack (Goldfish, Fruit Snacks and M&M's) and a Bug Juice to wash it all down.
The team waiting to hit the field.

Talan always has fun running around with all the kids.
 What a handsome 1st baseman.
Jason practicing his pitching skills. Just a moment earlier he was at the pitching mound juggling.
Crew and Lincoln decided to go up and try keeping score

The little boys had a great time climbing and running on the bleachers.

Talan looking so sad. I bet his wishes he was older so he could go out and play.
We have so much fun watching the Pro Air team play ball. It is so fun to meet at the ball park, hang out with friends and watch a ball game. The kids love running around playing, the girls love to chat and the guys like to play ball. It is becoming one of my favorite summer traditions. Our team may not be the winningest team but we still have the biggest crowd.

Happy 8th Anniversary

The candy Basket with a fun letter for Jason.

It is always fun to get something unexpected at work. So I secertly went into his office and dropped it off with out him catching me. The note said:
                                                                                                                                               June 27, 2011

Dear Mr. Christensen,
I know that these may seem like a “SHOCKER” but we have been in wedded “BLISS” for 8 years. It still seems as though a “SYMPHONY” plays every time I see you! Some may think that you are a “DUD”,“AIR HEAD”  or a MONSTER but I think I “SKOR-ed” with such a “RED HOT” “ROCK STAR”.  Some many SNICKER  because they think that I love you just because you are a SUGAR DADDY and I am just in this for an EXTRA  100 GRAND. But I don’t REACT to their comments, I simply say “LOOK,” who wouldn’t love a CRAZY FROG drinking man who is also a  FISH Whisper? I know that this may be a WHOPPER of a letter and BOLD of me to say, but the truth is I love you to PIECES  and you are MOUNDS of fun to be with.

LOVE YOU TONS,
 Miss Jones
Mrs. Christensen

He surprised me with some beautiful daisies. I love the orange. I am not a huge rose person so I loved the daisies.

We decided to take the Bronco to dinner and for a ride since we didn't have the kids. I love to take the Bronco out in the summer it is so fun and makes me feel young. There is nothing better than a canyon ride in the bronce with a Kenny Chesney CD. This is what summer is to me

I am not quite sure why Jason insisted on washing it considering we are taking it up the canyon. Oh well it is his baby.

I can't believe that we have been married 8 years. Time has flown by. We had a great anniversary. We went and had a great dinner at Magelby's. It was nice not to have to cut up anyones food and no one to keep asking if we are leaving yet. After a relaxing dinner we went for a long ride up Hobble Creek Canyon. I love when you get up in the pines. The cool air and wonderful smell on the woods make me so happy. We didn't do anything too big this year because Mexico was our Anniversary and what a trip it was. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. I hope we have  many more happy years to come.

Kickball 2011 "The CROCODILES"

Talan was finally old enough to play kickball. The first games was so funny. None of the kids knew where to run when they kicked the ball. Some tried to kick the ball while playing in the outfield instead of picking it up and no one stayed in the baselines. It was fun to watch them play. All of those 5 year old kids are so cute.
Talan's favorite part was when he got to play pitcher.
By the last game Talan knew where to run after he kicked the ball. He also got good at playing in the outfield, he learned to pick up the ball and try and tag the other team who was running around the bases.

Talan had a fun time playing kickball this year. It will be fun to watch him improve his skills and watch him excel.

Cars 2

It was opening week-end for CARS 2. Talan has been waiting so long for this movie to come out. Everyday he would ask how many more days until Cars 2 and he wanted to know if had we had gotten our tickets yet. So when we told him we were going he was excited to say the least.

The boys doing the Cars 2 sign we made up.

A picture of the golden tickets.

The theater was full of Cars 2 stuff.

I don't know who was having more fun, the big or little boy.
In the theater waiting for the movie to start.
The movie was good but I don't think they could have made one better than the original. Talan had a great time and has his list of new die cast cars he needs to buy. It was fun to spend the afternoon with him and enjoying a great movie together.

Summer Time = Pool Time

Summer Time is finally here and the boys could not be more excited. I didn't have to work today and we had no errands that needed to be done so we decided to go to the Veteran's Pool after Talan's swimming lessons.

The boys trying so hard to wait for Addy and Crew at the pool.

Lincoln giving me one of his famous "Cheese" smiles.
The boys helping me get out the beach towels and checking out what kind of treats I had brought.

Lincoln taking a break and enjoying his gold fish crackers.

Lincoln loved the water. He was fearless.

Talan and Addy had so much fun going down the slides and shooting the water guns.

The two little boys checking out the water.

My bathing beauty. He was not scared at all of putting his face in the water or wading out into the deep water.

Lincoln checking to see if Crew was okay.

Talan and Addy playing in the water. This is one of the only photos I have of these two because they were just too busy.

Crew having a refreshing drink.
Snack Time.

More Goldfish.
Every two hours they clear out the pools to test the water. Talan hated every moment of waiting to get back in the pool.

Jess brought the kids some fun goggles. The kids had fun wearing them around the pool.

After 3 hours of playing hard it was finally time to head home. I some how left Lincoln's shirt at home so he got to wear my tank top on the way home.
We had a great time and decided to make it our new Wednesday tradition. We love going to the Veteran's Pool because it is shallow enough for the little one, but it has enough slides and water toys to keep the older ones entertained. We hope to enjoy many more days basking in the sun at the pool.

1st Real Haircut!

Talan HATES to have his hair cut. When he was younger we tried to take him to the hair dresser but he would throw such a tantrum that they refused to cut it. So I had to step in a become a hair stylist. I know nothing about cutting hair.
Hair cuts where a major fight every time one of the boys needed one. Jason would pretty much wrestle with them and hold them down while I did my best to give him an even haircut. The haircut would end with Talan crying, snot all over his face with hair stuck to it. Not a pretty sight.

So yesterday while driving to Talan's Kickball game I mentioned that he needed a haircut. I asked him if he wanted to have someone else cut it. He said he did if he could pick out a Cars 2 car. I am all for bribery. So we stopped in to Fantastic Sam's and he jumped right up in the chair. They cut his hair without any tears. He even let her wash his hair in the sink. The worst part of the whole things was his embarrassing mom taking his picture. He keep saying "Mom stop it, you are embarrassing me". So I did. That is why I don't have a finished hair cut shot.

I am so excited to have one less haircut to do. Now if I could just get Lincoln to let someone else cut his hair. Talan looks so handsome with his new haircut!!!
